Abstract:

To provide equipment that makes feasible for unit replacement of a new work roll assembly with an old one without using a large-scale substructure.

A stationing tale for roll unit replacement 24 is installed in the front of a roll mill working area side. The roll unit replacement table 24 is provided with rails 33 for pulling out the roll unit and rails 34 for lifting the unit. The table is also provided with shift blocks 38 that side-shift a work roll assembly 27 in a state of detachably joining the pulled out work roll assembly, and easily shift only the work roll assembly 27 being pulled out, thus allowing fast work of unit replacement of the work roll without using the large-scale substructure.
