Abstract:

To provide a protective plate of a high density energy beam welding equipment to prevent solidification cracking by prescribing the composition of the heat resistant material.

A protective plate is made of the heat resistant material in which the bauxite base containing argillaceous ceramics binder is preliminarily formed and which has the composition consisting of, by weight, (1) 80-85% Al2O3 (2) 8-12% SiO2, (3) 2.8-3.5% TiO2, (4) 2-3% mixture of particles of iron oxide basically in the form of Fe2O3 and K2O, and (5) ≤1% secondary impurities containing Na2O, CaO and MgO.
