Abstract:
To provide a new erythromycin A derivative having an excellent antibacterial activity.
The erythromycin derivative represented by formula (1) [R1 is phenyl, pyridyl, thienyl or furyl which is not substituted or substituted with one to three substituents selected from nitro, bromo, chloro, a 1 to 4C alkyl and a 1 to 4C alkoxy, or -CH=CH-Ar (Ar is phenyl, thienyl, furyl or pyridyl); R2 is H or a 1 to 3C alkyL or R3 and R4 together are an oxo group; or R3 is H; R4 is O-R5 (R5 is cladinosyl, acetyl or pyridylacetyl)] or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt.
