To provide an escalator cart for use in an airport free of receiving a great impact when the cart is to be fixed, allowing the cart to escape while it rides on the flow of the escalator steps at the outlet, capable of returning to the flat place running condition certainly at the same time as escaping, not requiring such a large force as braking the cart when brake is applied and put off, and structured so that a plurality of carts can be accommodated in a lump and moved.
The cart is advanced in case the front wheels lie near a riser at the time of intruding into the escalator, and is retreated in case the cart lies far apart from the riser and it is earlier to fall onto the lower step, wherewith it is possible to avoid receiving a great impact when the cart is to be fixed by selecting one of the above having a shorter moving distance. At the time of escaping onto the escalator, cover(s) to the rotor wheels is allowed to abut to an end plate before the rotor wheels do, whereby the cart can escape off the escalator and return to the flat place running condition.
