Abstract:
To diagnose a drive device of a step or a handrail of an escalator by simple mounting.
The escalator diagnosis device 5 mounted as if wrapped around a rotation shaft 1 is constituted by an acceleration sensor 6, a signal recording device 7 and a determination device 8. The acceleration sensor 6 measures circumferential acceleration 9, centrifugal force direction acceleration 10 and axial acceleration 11 respectively and outputs the respective data. The determination device 8 determines existence of abnormality of the rotation shaft 1, a bearing 2, a sprocket 3 or a chain 4 based on the data by comparing them with previously measured data at a normal time.
