Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator falling prevention device capable of certainly preventing a fall of an escalator without generating breaking or destruction of an attachment part when a large-scale earthquake occurs.SOLUTION: An escalator falling prevention device 100 includes: a link chain 10 in which a plurality of links are connected; and a rod-like buffer 20 made of an elastic body, and storing at least a part of section of the link chain 10 thereinside. The part of section of the link chain 10 is embedded inside the buffer 20 while a gap is formed between the adjacent links, the elastic body is filled in the gap, one end 10a of the link chain 10 is connected to a first connection point 32a provided in an escalator 30, and the other end 10b of the link chain 10 is connected to a second connection point 42a provided in a floor 40 on the upper side.
