Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator with intermediate getting-on/off gates that can heighten a utilization factor while being shortened in installation length and easy to assemble.
SOLUTION: At getting-on/off gates 3A, 3B on the floors 2B of a second floor, moving handrails 5A, 5B mounted on railings 1A, 1B are disposed on the lower side of the floor faces of the gates 3A, 3B so as to be formed into moving handrail horizontal parts 5a. Getting-on/off boards can be provided at the upper faces of tread horizontal parts 4a made horizontal at a landing between oblique parts, and the end parts of the railings of the landing can be curved to the outside to facilitate movement to the tread horizontal parts 4a. Getting-on/off conveyors can be also provided the gates 3A, 3B.
