Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a lubricant having advantageous characteristics of a montanic acid deriv. and a fatty acid ester oligomer, and free from defects of these lubricants.
CONSTITUTION: An ester obtd. from a) an oxidized polyethylene wax having an acid number of 10 to 100 mg KOH/g and a saponification value of 15 to 140 mg KOH/g and b) a monofunctional 1-8C alkanol, and having an acid value of 0 to 40 mg KOH/g, a saponification value of 15 to 140 mg KOH/g and a melting viscosity at 140°C of 50 to 2,000 mPa.s. This ester exhibits a very good releasing effect as a lubricant in a thermoplastic molding material, particulary a vinyl chloride polymer. This ester does not reduce the transparency of particularly a calendered film.
