Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To theoretically estimate a shape of wrinkle (wrinkle depth, wrinkle wave length) and the buckling limit of a bending inner side wall in the bending of a hollow shapes.
SOLUTION: In a square shaped hollow shapes having a bending inside wall being made parallel to the bending neutral axis, on the assumption that the bending inside wall is made of one sheet, the buckling limit stress of the bending inside wall is obtained, based on the buckling limit stress, the radius of curvature of the buckling limit of the shapes is obtained, then, on the assumption that in a smaller radius of curvature of bending than the radius of curvature of the buckling limit, an in-plane strain is not increased on the center line of the bending inside wall being made parallel to the longitudinal direction of the shapes caused by bending and all the deformation is absorbed in the wrinkle, the shape of wrinkle generating in the bending inside wall is obtained. The shape of wrinkle is supposed as the function of a sine wave in the longitudinal direction of the shapes and the width direction.
