Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimation method of a melt level in a vertical furnace, which can accurately and readily estimate a level of melt (remaining iron and slag) in which a molten iron and a slag remaining in a vertical furnace such as a blast furnace are mixed, and an estimation device thereof.SOLUTION: According to an estimation method of a melt level in a vertical furnace 11 of the present invention, when estimating a level of a melt M in which a molten iron X and a slag Y remaining in the vertical furnace 11 are mixed, imaging means 2 for imaging a tap slag stream Q that is a flow of the melt M discharged from a tap hole 13 provided to the vertical furnace 11 is provided, by using the imaging means 2, at least two images of the tap slag stream Q are imaged, using the imaged two or more images, a speed of tap slag stream Q is obtained, and, based on the speed of the obtained tap slag stream Q, a level of the melt M remained in the vertical furnace 11 is estimated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
