Abstract:
To provide an estrogen activity regulator having a novel component that shows estrogenic action under the absence of estrogen but antagonistically works under the presence of estrogen is used as an active ingredient, and a method for producing the regulator.SOLUTION: 1. An estrogen activity regulator having a flavan compound (A) as an active ingredient which shows estrogenic action under the absence of estrogen. 2. An estrogen activity regulator in which the compound (A) is flavans. 3. A method for producing flavans in which Aguaje (palmae plant originated in South America) is extracted in solvent having non polar solvent as a main component separated by water and ethyl acetate to obtain ethyl acetate fractions, and the ethyl acetate fractions are purified.SELECTED DRAWING: None
