Abstract:
To provide: a compound which provides low volatility for a given viscosity profile and may be used as a base stock suitable for use in a lubricant composition for an internal combustion engine; a base oil comprising the compound; and a lubricant composition comprising the base oil.SOLUTION: In some embodiments, a compound has the formula (I), where: R1 and R2 are each alkyl, or form cycloalkyl together with the carbon atom to which they are attached; R3, R4 and R5 are each H or alkyl; R6 is alkyl or the like; and m and n are 0, 1, 2 or 3, provided that m is 0 when R4 and R5 are H.SELECTED DRAWING: None
