PURPOSE: To provide a rubber composed of a random copolymer rubber of ethylene-α-olefin-methyloctadiene synthesized in the presence of a catalyst such as zirconium and a conjugated diene rubber and excellent in low-temperature flexibility, abrasion resistance and fatigue resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This composition is composed of (A) an ethylene-α-olefin-7- methyl-1,6-octadiene random copolymer exhibiting 40/60 to 90/10 molar ratio of ethylene/α-olefin, ≥0.1dl/g and ≤8dl/g intrinsic viscosity in decalin at 135°C, ≤0.5 intensity ratio of Tαβ/Tαα in 13C-NMR spectra and 1.00 to 1.5 B value calculated from 13C-NMR spectra and B=POE(2PEPO) (PE is content of ethylene unit except octadiene-derived ethylene unit on molar ratio base; PO is α-olefin unit content on molar ratio base; POE is ratio of number of α-olefin-ethylene chain to number of the whole dyad chain and (B) conjugated diene rubber.
