Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylene-propylene copolymer having high alternating property, low glass transition temperature and useful for various kinds of applications such as modifiers and rubber vulcanized materials by copolymerizing ethylene with propylene so as to satisfy specific conditions.
SOLUTION: Ethylene (hereinafter referred to as E) is copolymerized with propylene (hereinafter referred to as P) in a state in which ethylene and propylene in an amount of ≥8 mole based on 1 mol ethylene coexist by using a catalyst preferably consisting essentially of one or more kinds of metallocene compounds such as [ethylene (1-indenyl) (9-fluorenyl)]dichlozirconium so as to satisfy conditions in which sum of each molar fraction of [EPE] and [PEP] of triad measured by 13C-NMR is ≥70% and sum of each molar fraction of [PPP], [PPE] and [EPP] is ≤5% and sum of each molar fraction of [EEE], [PEE] and [EEP] is ≤25% and glass transition temperature measured by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) is ≤-40°C.
