Title:
ETHYLENE-VINYL ALCOHOL COPOLYMER, RESIN COMPOSITION, AND MULTILAYER STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016028139
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with excellent appearance, capable of having excellent long-run workability in melt-molding, preventing film defects such as film flaws and streaks, and suppressing coloration; a resin composition; and a multilayer structure.SOLUTION: The ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer of the present invention is obtained by saponifying a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl ester; and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer has a molecular weight satisfying expression (1) (Ma-Mb)/Ma<0.45, which is measured by using a gel permeation chromatograph equipped with a differential refractive index detector and an ultraviolet-visible light absorbance detector, after performing heat treatment at 220°C in a nitrogen atmosphere for 50 hours. In expression (1), Ma represents a molecular weight in terms of a polymethyl methacrylate at the maximum value of a peak measured by the differential refractive index detector; and Mb represents a molecular weight in terms of a polymethyl methacrylate at the maximum value of an absorption peak at a wavelength of 220 nm measured by the ultraviolet-visible light absorbance detector.SELECTED DRAWING: None
