Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hose or a storage container for high-pressure gas that has water resistance and has not only hydrogen resistance but also hydrogen gas barrier properties even under ultrahigh pressure and to provide an ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer saponification product suitable as a constitutional material for the hose or the storage container for high-pressure gas.SOLUTION: The ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer saponification product includes (A) a structural unit having not less than 10 mol% to less than 20 mol% of an ethylene structural unit and having a primary hydroxyl group in the side chain and has a content of the structural unit (A) of 0.5 mol% to 15 mol%. The hose or the storage container for high-pressure gas has at least one layer comprising the ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer saponification product or a composition thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: None
