Abstract:

To provide a new ethylene--olefin copolymer having excellent crosslinking properties; a foamed article with low specific gravity and small compression set (CS) and a composition producing this, a foot wear component made of the foamed article; ethylenic copolymer composition with well-balanced weatherability and mechanical strength, and wire-coating material and electric wire sheath using this; thermoplastic elastomer producing a molded article with well-balanced mechanical strength and tenacity.

The ethylenic copolymer (A), which is copolymer consisting of only ethylene and 3-20C -olefin, is characterized by specific ranges of (a) vinyl group content per 1,000C atoms obtained by infrared absorption measurement, (b) MFR10/MFR2.16, and (c) density.
