The ethynylpyridines are represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R1 is an alkyl group, a nitro group, a trifluoromethyl group or an alkoxycarbonyl group; R2 is a hydrogen atom an alkyl group, a hydroxyalkyl group or a trialkylsilyl group; and n is an integer of 1-4; with the proviso that the case in which R1 is the alkyl group and R2 is the hydrogen atom or the trialkylsilyl group, is omitted).
