A recorder body 1 which has a signal processing section 22, a RAM 23 and a radio communication section 24, a strain gauge 3, a strain generating section (Invar) 4, and a driving power supply are accommodated in one housing, thereby eliminating the routing operation of wiring. The signal processing section 22 stores respective sampling data sets in the RAM 23 and sends a sampling data set decimated at a prescribed decimation rate to a host computer 31 by using a radio communication, in advance of a timing of sensing an event occurrence, and stores only anteroposterior data sets of the event occurrence, until the RAM 23 is saturated, and then collectively sends all data sets stored in the RAM 23 to the host computer 31 by using the radio communication at the timing of sensing the event occurrence.
