Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for properly evaluating the abrasion resistance peculiar to the tread rubber formed by a strip wind method in a short period of time.SOLUTION: There is provided an evaluation method for abrasion resistance of a tire T in which a tread rubber TG applied to the ground plane of a tread 2 is formed by spirally winding an unvulcanized belt-like rubber strip Ga in a tire circumferential direction. The method includes: an abrasion step S1 of abrading the tread rubber TG; and an evaluation step S2 of observing and evaluating the abrasion state of the tread rubber TG after the abrasion step S1. The abrasion step S1 comprises carrying out several times, one set comprising a first abrasion step S11 including swirling a vehicle loading a tire T on a dry road surface and a second abrasion step S12 including swirling the above vehicle on a wet road surface.
