Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly evaluate an effect of water treatment for improvement of corrosion resistance on a local corrosion occurrence part of a copper-based material which contacts water of a drainage system.SOLUTION: An evaluation method is configured to use an evaluation electrode 1 in which, a recess hole state liquid reservoir part 8 which may communicate with water through a small hole, is provided, a copper-based material 3 is provided to contact a liquid in the liquid reservoir part 8, and a liquid contact area of the copper-based material 3 which contacts the liquid in the liquid reservoir part 8 is larger than an area of a small hole opening part 7, and perform following first to fourth steps: 1) a first step for generating a corrosion product so that the small hole opening part 7 is covered with the corrosion product; 2) a second step for installing the evaluation electrode so that, the corrosion product contacts the drainage system which executes corrosion resistance improvement processing, for executing corrosion resistance improvement processing; 3) a third step for bringing the evaluation electrode which has been subjected to the corrosion resistance improvement processing with water which contains no water treatment agent; and 4) a fourth step for evaluating corrosion resistance of the copper-based material, by an electrochemical method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
