Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an evaluation method in which a loss factor in a wide range can be evaluated by a method wherein the frequency and the loss tangent of a test piece at a reference temperature are measured, a temperature is converted into a frequency and a master curve is created at every reference temperature so as to be changed into a three-dimensional curve by a least-squares smoothing processing operation.
SOLUTION: A heating furnace 2 is heated to a set temperature by a CPU 7. In a force generation part 5, the applied frequency of a force to a test piece 3 is changed up to an upper-limit value from a lower-limit value. tan δ is measured by a strain measuring part 6, its data is processed by the CPU 7, and tan δ is measured at a plurality of set temperatures. On a graph, the data on tan δ is arranged perpendicularly to a temperature axis. The lowermost part and the uppermost part express data on the upper-limit value of the frequency and data on the lower limit value of the frequency. The horizontal axis is converted into a frequency by a temperature-time conversion law. Data on a temperature which is higher than a prescribed reference temperature is shifted to the right, data on a temperature which is lower than the prescribed reference temperature is shifted to the left, and one master curve is obtained. Master curves which are created at many reference temperatures are changed into a three-dimensional curve by a least-squares smoothing processing operation, a two-variable histogram is created, and a loass factor in a wide range can be evaluated.
