Abstract:
To provide an evaluation method capable of quantitatively evaluating the hydrogen embrittlement suppression effect due to impurities in a metallic material.SOLUTION: The evaluation method of the hydrogen embrittlement suppression effect includes: a step of deriving a fitting curve formula expressed by the following Equation (2), which shows a relation between the exposure time in mixed gas and the amount of hydrogen invaded into a test piece, by changing α in Equation (1) from the relation between the exposure time in hydrogen gas and the amount of hydrogen invading the test piece; and a step of comparing the value α in Equation (1) and the value α' in Equation (2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
