Title:
EVAPORATED FUEL PROCESSING DEVICE OF CAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08230493
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a device which adsorbs the evaporated fuel in a fuel tank to an adsorbent in a canister and which can effectively separate the fuel from the adsorbent when necessary using a simple constitution.

CONSTITUTION: The rear frame 42 of a car body 41 is composed of a left and a right side member 43, 44, a cross-member 45 to coupled together the side members 43, 44, and a floor pan 46 installed between them 43-45. The floor pan 46 is furnished with a tire housing 48. Near the members 43-46, 48, an exhaust pipe 50 is installed for admitting passage of the exhaust gas emitted from the engine. A canister 13 to contain an adsorbent for the evaporated fuel in a fuel tank 1 is installed in the space bounded by the members 43-46, 48, 50. When the engine is in operation, the adsorbent in the canister 13 is heated effectively by the heat of the exhaust gas passing through the exhaust pipe 50, which accelerates fuel separation from the adsorbent.
