Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a fuel cell system using a fuel cell. SOLUTION: A cavity 258 is provided in a micro-reformer 251, and an evaporation heater 256 is provided in the cavity 258. Further, a fuel spraying means 58 for spraying a mixed liquid of methanol and water onto the evaporation heater 256 in the form of liquid drops is also installed in the cavity 258. The sprayed mixed liquid is heated by the evaporation heater 256 and evaporates. The gas formed by the evaporation of the mixed liquid flows to micro flow passages 260 and is accelerated by a reforming catalyst provided at each micro flow passage 260 so as to be reformed into hydrogen and carbon dioxide.
