PURPOSE: To alleviate a load to be applied to a bearing, to enhance a pumping efficiency and to reduce noise by suppressing a shaft fluctuation and vibration of a sprinkling funnel.
CONSTITUTION: An evaporation type condenser comprises a condensing heat exchanger 1, a blower 2, a sprinkling funnel 3, a drain pan 4, and a shaft joint 9 as a universal joint provided at a lower end of a rotary shaft 8 of a motor 5 of the blower 2, wherein an upper end of a funnel shaft 10 protruding from an upper end of the funnel is connected to the shaft joint. The shaft joint is formed substantially in a recess shape having a pair of legs 91, at which grooves opened at lower ends are formed, both ends of a pin passed through the upper end of the funnel shaft are engaged with the grooves to form the universal joint. An inner race 121 on the way of the funnel shaft is fixed at its lower surface in a spherical state, engaged with a bearing surface of a spherical shape formed on an outer race 122 supported to an upper center by a support frame 14 to form a bearing 12 or the inner and outer races, thereby supporting a weight of the funnel 3 and inclining an axis of the funnel shaft.
