Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator and a vehicle air conditioner using this evaporator, capable of achieving size reduction by reducing dimensions of the vehicle air conditioner in a front-to-rear direction.SOLUTION: A vehicle air conditioner 1 comprises: a casing 2; a temperature adjustment unit 3 provided in the casing 2; and a blower 4 feeding air into the casing 2 and also blowing the air whose temperature is adjusted by the temperature adjustment unit 3 into a vehicle cabin. The temperature adjustment unit 3 comprises: an evaporator 10; a heater core 11 arranged downstream of the evaporator 10 in an air flow direction; and an air mix damper 12 adjusting a ratio of an amount of the air fed to the heater core 11 after passing through the evaporator 10 to that of the air bypassing the heater core 11 after passing through the evaporator 10. Between adjacent refrigerant flow pipe portions of the evaporator 10, a ventilation 18 having an upper end serving as an air introduction portion 19 and a vehicle rear side serving as an air delivery portion 21 is provided.
