An evaporator 30 generates vapor for fuel reforming by vaporizing liquid fuel including a hydrocarbon, and comprises a heated gas flow passage 37 through which heated gas passes; an evaporation flow passage with bottom 36 which is arranged being capable of heat-exchange with the heated gas flow passage 37 and evaporates the liquid fuel supplied from above in the direction of gravity, and through which the evaporated fuel vapor is exhausted to above in the direction of gravity; fins 36a, which are arranged on the inside of the evaporation flow passage 36.
