Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator capable of freely changing the number of passes, without changing alignment of a heat transfer pipe group in a can trunk.SOLUTION: A shell-and-tube type heat exchanger includes a can trunk 11, pipe plates 12, 12 closing both ends of the can trunk 11, and heat transfer pipe groups arranged in the can trunk 11. Cavities G1, G2 are provided between adjacent heat transfer pipe groups. The respective heat transfer pipe groups are distinguished from adjacent heat transfer pipe groups by the cavities G1, G2 to align heat transfer pipe groups 14U1-14U7, 14L1-14L5. The alignment of the heat transfer pipe groups comprises common multiple of heat transfer pipe groups with different pass numbers so as to change a combination of the heat transfer pipe group according to two or more different pass numbers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
