To provide an event prediction method and system capable of improving the accuracy of a weather forecast as an event by predicting and combining the movement of clouds for every altitude by using meteorological satellite images, and provide a predicted event distribution method and system capable of distributing accurate-weather forecast information as an event.
In this application, wide-area event prediction is carried out in a center A for predicting an event by a wide-area observation network, an event prediction result of a wide area including the area of a center B is obtained from the center A in the center B holding an event data base stored by local observation, a past event similar to the current situation is selected from the event data base based on the similarity of the event prediction result to past events of the area of the center B, and a prediction value of the current situation is generated based on the selected past event and the variation after the event.
