A pocket section 21 for supporting the examiner's body is provided to a bed 11, where a patient lies recumbent at the examination, separated from the bed 11, the pocket section 21 is adjustably positioned and supported to a necessary lifted/lowered position via a lifting/lowering mechanism 30 provided to a support body 25, so that, for example when the examiner performs the examination holding the examination instrument for a relatively long period of time, the examiner appropriately adjusts the lifting/lowering position of the pocket section 21, allows the pocket section 21, already adjusted its position, to support examiner's own arm holding the examination instrument, and executes the examination free from the weight of holding the examination instrument.
