PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a conveying work by controlling operation of a device which automates conveyance of excavated earth from an excavation place to a working base by means of a grab bucket automatically running over head.
CONSTITUTION: A grab bucket 14 is lowered by operating a winch device 16 in a lowering direction after a conveyance permit command signal from a remote controller 41 is received by an excavated earth conveying device 5. By forcing the grab bucket 14 to effect closing operation, excavated earth 4 is grasped and the grab bucket 14 is raised by means of the winch device 16 and automatically stopped at a given running height. Thereafter, the grab bucket 14 is transferred to a working base 6 through control of running of a running trolley device 17 in the direction of the working base 6. A control circuit is provided for controlling and stopping the grab bucket 14 to a standby position through running control of the running trolley device 17 in the direction of an excavation place P after the grab bucket 14 is opened at the working base 6 to discharge the earth 4.
