PURPOSE: To improve the general-purpose properties of drain construction by installing the bits of half bodies divided-into two in the vertical direction at the front end of a cylindrical section body having a spiral fin on an outer circumferential surface in a freely opening-closing manner through a head.
CONSTITUTION: Excavation is conducted up to specified depth under the state, in which a columnar body 21 is housed in a cylindrical section body 1, the main body 1 is pulled up slightly, valves 17, 18 are opened, compressed air is forwarded from one pipe 7, and the inside of an air chamber 6 is supplied with air from an air passage 9 and a piston 5 is pushed down. When the piston 5 is lowered, the bits 4a, 4b of each half body receive action so as to be pushed down by a rod 16, the bits 4a, 4b are rotated while using a shaft 15 as a supporting point, and the front end secions of the bits are opened. The main body 1 is lifted while pushing out the columnar body 21 from the main body 1, and the columnar body 21 is left in a pit, thus constructing a columnar drain. Accordingly, the bits are opened and closed by the piston 5, thus allowing the construction of drains of every kind, then improving general-purpose properties.
