Abstract:
To provide an excavator capable of estimating the hardness of the ground with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An excavator according to an embodiment of the present invention has a lower traveling body, an upper revolving body that is pivotably mounted on the lower traveling body, an attachment that is attached to the upper revolving body, a sensor including a strain sensor or an acceleration sensor attached to the attachment, and a hardness estimation unit that estimates the hardness of the ground based on a detection value of the sensor. The hardness estimation unit has a hardness estimation unit which estimates the hardness of the ground based on a detected value of the sensor when performing a predetermined operation of bringing the attachment into contact with the ground at a predetermined speed and a predetermined angle, and data in which the detected value of the sensor when performing the predetermined operation is associated with the hardness of the ground.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
