Abstract:
An excavator, capable of both preventing dropping of a boom and automatic control of ae boom cylinder pressure, is provided. For this purpose, an excavator 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a hydraulic oil holding circuit 40 that is provided in an oil passage between a bottom-side oil chamber of a boom cylinder 7 and a control valve 17 and is closed when the boom 4 is not lowered, and a controller 30. The controller 30 releases a closed state of the hydraulic oil holding circuit 40 according to a state of the excavator 100, and controls a released state so that an acting velocity in a lowering direction of the boom 4 becomes less than or equal to a predetermined reference.
