Abstract:
To provide a shovel which can more surely secure safety of an operator in the surrounding.SOLUTION: A shovel of an embodiment according to the invention includes a lower traveling body 61, an upper revolving body 63 revolvably mounted on the lower traveling body 61, and an excavation attachment E provided on a front central portion of the upper revolving body 63. The shovel has person detection means 5a which is provided on the upper revolving body 63 for detecting a person in a predetermined range around the shovel, and determination means 5c which is mounted on the shovel for determining, for every prescribed control period whether or not the person detection means 5a detects a person. The determination means 5c determines whether or not the person detection means 5a detects a person both in a state in which when an operator operates an operation lever, a corresponding hydraulic actuator does not operate, and in a state in which when the operator operates the operation lever, the corresponding hydraulic actuator operates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
