PURPOSE: To avoid the trouble of generating a new selection numeral at a terminal equipment side and to eliminate the need for the cost and man-hour to add a converting function by providing a device having a function converting a selection numeral between the terminal equipment and a subscriber exchange.
CONSTITUTION: In converting the selection numeral to connect the subscriber exchange from the terminal equipment, the selection numeral sent from the terminal equipment is informed to a translator 10 via a dial pulse DP signal outgoing transistor trunk 6. The translator 10 expands and analyzes the selection numeral, converts it according to the selection numeral conversion rules stored in a central controller 11 in advance and informs the converted selection numeral to a DP signal sender trunk 8. The trunk 8 receiving the notice sends the selection numeral after the conversion via a tw-way trunk 3 to the subscriber exchange to request the connection. Thus, the trouble of generating a new selection numeral at the terminal equipment side and the cost and man-hour to add the conversion function are avoided.
