PURPOSE: To exchange easily and safely a raw material distribution hopper by inserting a front end supporting metal by means of a connecting bar into said hopper supported in a furnace, opening said metal at the bottom end of the hopper and pulling up the metal.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material distribution hopper 6 supported by means of a supporting metal 7 is replaced by setting the piston rod 2a of a cylinder 2 at a max. stroke and inserting a connecting bar 4 into a hopper 6. When the front end supporting metal 1 mounted on the front end of the bar 4 arrives at the bottom end of the hopper 6, the restriction due to a liner 6a on a link 1b is eliminated and the links 1c, 1d open until the link 1b contacts with a stopper 1e. A central support metal 3 contacts with the liner 6a and prevents the bar 4 from moving downward any longer. When the piston rod 2a of the cylinder 2 is moved upward in this stage, the suspension rod 1a ascends and the seat of the link 1d abuts to the bottom end of the hopper 6. The hopper 6 is pulled and removed from the metal 7 by lifting the bar 4.
