To provide an excision line determination system in subject which is used as a method for objectively determining a tumor outer edge and an excision line.
The excision line determination system S10 uses an ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus for organizing a three-dimensional image in the subject by echo data obtained by exchanging ultrasonic waves with the subject. The system includes: boundary determining means M1 for determining the boundary line between one region and the outer part in a horizontal cross section image obtained by the ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus; outer edge determining means M2 for determining the whole outer edge, based on respective boundaries determined for the respective horizontal cross section images; excision edge determining means M3 for determining an excision edge which can be set at any distance from the outer edge; and sheet generating means M4 for printing the outer edge and the excision edge on a print sheet.
