Title:
EXCITATION CONTROL DEVICE FOR ROTARY MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5671498
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To alleviate a shock to a generator at an excitation limiting time by applying an overexcitation limiting signal as an oblique signal. CONSTITUTION:A subtractor 16 subtracts the signal equal to the square of the rated field current from the signal squared with field current. An operational amplifier 14 squares the deviation signal between the field current and the allowable field current. If the field current becomes higher than the allowable field current, a relay 11 is operated, to cause the contact 17b to be opened. Thus, an operational amplifier 21 integrates the outputs of the subtractor 16 and the amplifier 14. When the output of the amplifier 21 exceeds the set value, a relay 24 is operated, the deviation signal is converted to an oblique signal, and the signal thus converted is supplied to an automatic voltage regulator 4. Thus, the voltage recovery of the system can be contributed up to the limit of the capacity of the generator, and the shock applied to the generator at the excitation limiting time can be alleviated.
