The excitation system for a vehicle includes a mounting plate 22 for mounting a wheel of a vehicle. In the mounting plate 22, a contact surface 24 to be in contact with the wheel is provided with two types of protruding members 26, 28, that is, a first protruding member 26 having a peak and a second protruding member 28 which is rotatable and has a spherical shape, each of which is provided in a plurality of numbers. The protruding members 26, 28 can protrude and retract with respect the contact surface 24. By switching the type of the protruding members 26, 28 to be protruded, frictional force with respect to the wheel is switched.
