To provide an exciting machine and vibrating machine with which the setting of a vibration mode and the increase in size and length are easy and the shift from a working state to a stop stage is rapidly carried out.
An electric motor of the exciting machine which is mounted with unbalance masses at both shaft ends of the rotor of the electric motor and generates vibration force by rotating this rotor is composed of a synchronous induction motor which has secondary conductors near the surface of the rotor 2 and includes permanent magnets 23 nearer the core axial central side of the rotor 2 than the secondary conductors or a synchronous motor which includes the permanent magnets in the rotor. Starting from the state of maintaining the specified relation of the phase rotating position of stator windings, the polarity of the rotor permanent magnets and the relative positional (phase) of the unbalance masses is possible. The driving of the unbalance masses in the same phase together with the rotating of plural units of the exciting machines in the same direction and the backward rotation thereof is possible. In addition, the vibrating machine is provided with such exciting machine and the treatment or manipulation of objects is executed by utilizing the exciting force generated by such exciting machine.
