Abstract:
To provide a device and a method for confirming elimination by which a caretaker, for example, in charge of diaper exchange can find out whether elimination has been done before opening a diaper.SOLUTION: An elimination confirmation device 10 is used for finding out whether elimination has been done in an absorbent product for absorbing waste. The device 10 includes: an IR-LED illumination device 11 for irradiating the outside surface of a diaper, which is separate from the waste in the diaper, with light containing an infrared ray; and an IR camera 12 as an example of imaging means for imaging the outside surface separate from the waste of the diaper, which transmits the infrared ray. The device displays the IR image taken by the IR camera 12 in a display monitor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
