Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust temperature rising device which can achieve higher exhaust temperature rising performance than a conventional device and does not require recirculation of exhaust to be stopped during exhaust temperature rising even when an engine is mounted with an EGR device.SOLUTION: In an exhaust temperature rising device of a diesel engine 1 (engine) mounted with a turbocharger 7 and a particulate filter 3 (post processing device) on an exhaust pipe 2 after a turbine 7a of the turbocharger 7, an exhaust manifold 8 is separated into a main manifold 8A and a sub-manifold 8B through an on-off valve 17 (first on-off valve) at an appropriate position in an arrangement direction of respective cylinders 5. Also, the sub-manifold 8b is connected to an inlet side of the particulate filter 3 on the exhaust pipe 2 through an on-off valve 18 (second on-off valve) on a connection pipe 19 which is provided with an oxidation catalyst 20. Thus, the exhaust temperature rising device enables post injection to be executed only by the cylinder 5 corresponding to the sub-manifold 8B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
