Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the excellent power feeling and the throttle response by obtaining the optimum exhaust condition in the whole engine speed range.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust control device is provided with a valve element 11 which is arranged on an upper wall 10 of an exhaust passage 9 in an advancing/retracting manner, and allows a tip part 11b to be projected above an exhaust in-flow port 9a in the exhaust passage according to the engine speed to lower the upper edge position of the exhaust in-flow port 9a, a valve driving mechanism 18 to advance/retract this valve element 11, and a valve driving mechanism storing chamber 12 to store this valve driving mechanism 18. An opening part which changes the exhaust timing by advancing/retracting the valve element 11 and is communicated with the space outside the valve driving mechanism storing chamber 12 is provided, and the area of the opening of this opening part is changed by an opening part varying means according to the engine speed.
