PURPOSE: To provide an exhaust control valve for eliminating biting of a valve body in an adhered material, and for preventing malfunction or reduction in sealing characteristic at the time of full closing, even when the adhered material is formed on the inner surface of a valve housing.

CONSTITUTION: A butterfly-type valve element 2 is arranged in a valve housing 1 so that it can be rotated, and the flow of exhaust is controller by rotation of the valve element 2 by an actuator 8. A blade part 3 is formed on the edge of the valve element 2, and an adhered material adhered or formed on the inner surface of the valve housing 1 is scrapped by the blade part 3 at the time of rotation of the valve element 2. The valve element 2 will not be bitten in the adhered material adhered or formed on the inner surface of the valve housing, and the sealing characteristic at the time of full closing is thus improved.
