Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease influence of attenuation of pulsative motion of a catalyst and supply secondary air to an exhaust system by increasing capacity of a catalyst case.
CONSTITUTION: Capacity of a catalyst case 9 is more than twise as that of a catalyst 10, for decreasing influence of attenuation of exhaust pulsative motion due to the catalyst 10. It is thus possible to supply secondary air to an exhaust system within an engine speed range of a car running mode without improving a lead valve, nor varying a diameter and total length of a pipe of the exhaust system.
