To prevent oil components and micro-particles in a contaminated gas from sticking and depositing to an exhaust fan so as to stabilize the exhaust function and to facilitate the daily maintenance of an exhaust device for forcibly exhausting the contaminated gas to the outside from a kitchen room in a home, or a cooking table in a kitchen room.

An exhaust device is composed of a motor driven exhaust fan 2 having a suction side facing the outside, an exhaust duct 6 having its distal end opened to the outside and provided on the exhaust side of the exhaust fan 4, a negative pressure generator 3 having an aircraft main wing-like sectional shape located in a layer of the ambient air flowing through the exhaust duct 6, and an intake port 9 facing a negative pressure generating zone P on the lower side of the negative pressure generator 3. A contaminated gas as gas 12 to be discharged is sucked through the intake port 9 under suction by the negative pressure generating zone P so as to be merged with the flowing ambient air 11 and is then exhausted into the outside.
