To provide an exhaust emission analysis system and a method for correcting the measurement of an exhaust emission which provide an accurate dilution ratio and adjust the measurement of the exhaust emission from an engine.

The exhaust emission analysis system is provided with a humidity measurement apparatus 44 for providing a moisture content signal, preferably a carbon dioxide analyzer 48 for providing a carbon dioxide content signal and a controller 46 for receiving the moisture content signal and preferably the carbon dioxide content signal and calculating an adjustment coefficient associated with the moisture content signal and the carbon dioxide content signal. The controller 46 sends a flow instruction signal corresponding to the adjustment coefficient to one of an exhaust gas flow apparatus and a dilution gas flow apparatus 22, 24 so as to adjust one of gas flows of the exhaust gas flow apparatus and the dilution gas flow apparatus 22, 24 and provide the dilution ratio corrected in a connection 34.
