Abstract:

To prevent operational failure of a valve shaft 4 and its valve element 8 of an exhaust emission circulating device.

The valve element 8 for opening and closing an exhaust gas circulating passage 14 is fitted to the valve shaft 4 projected into the exhaust gas circulating passage 14 connecting an exhaust passage and an intake passage of an internal combustion engine through a bearing part 7 of a housing 5. The valve shaft 4 is driven in the axial direction while rotated round the axis by a shaft driving means 16.
